1. Global Hospitality Internship Program
Sri Lankan and Maldivian hotels and resorts provide an exceptional learning environment for
international students pursuing careers in hospitality, tourism, international business, and service
management.
Our Global Hospitality Internship Program (GHIP), first such program in the country, places
international students from around the world in selected hotels & resorts in Sri Lanka and the
Maldives for structured 3-6 months internships to provide practical training experience.
This mutually beneficial program provides international students with hands-on experience in luxury
hotels & resort operations, while supporting resorts and hotels with enthusiastic trainees who can
contribute to daily service delivery. Participating hotels & resorts will provide free accommodation
and meals, while students will gain valuable international work exposure, cultural learning, and
practical industry skills. As this is a training internship, interns are not remunerated.
We encourage placement of students through foreign universities, institutions delivering
hospitality, tourism, international business, and service management courses. Limited number of
placements are also available for direct enrollment, subject to availability.

2. Sri Lanka Diaspora Youth Internship Program
A significant proportion of second and third-generation Sri Lankan diaspora youth who were born and
raised abroad have limited opportunities to engage directly with Sri Lanka or develop a meaningful
understanding of the country’s economy, society, and professional landscape. The occasional visits
are typically limited to family or tourism activities and do not provide exposure to the country’s
professional and economic environment.
The Sri Lanka Diaspora Youth Internship Program represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen
connections between Sri Lanka and its global diaspora. By providing structured internship
opportunities and cultural engagement experiences, the program helps cultivate a new generation of
globally connected Sri Lankan professionals who maintain meaningful ties with their ancestral
homeland.
We provide diaspora youth with practical work experience in sectors such as hospitality, information
technology, entrepreneurship, development, tourism, media, and social enterprises, while
strengthening their connection with Sri Lanka.
