The Sri Lankan diaspora is a major national asset. It is large, diverse, fragmented, and globally distributed, with strengths in finance, technology, academia, skills, Ideas, entrepreneurship, and public service. Yet, this vast potential does not mobilize automatically.

The Institute of Migration is committed to unlocking this potential through innovative initiatives that connect global Sri Lankans with opportunities at home. By enabling structured and meaningful engagement, we aim to harness diaspora knowledge, expertise, and resources to support inclusive development and nation-building.
